The New Year started very well here in the Hounsfield factory with news that we had made the shortlist for best British boiler by the H&V News Awards!
As you’re aware these awards showcase the very best products within the heating and ventilation industry and our revolutionary Tuscan wall-mounted oil boiler is up for ‘Domestic HVAC Product of the Year: Boilers and Heaters’.
We have our fingers and toes crossed that we will walk away with the top award when the winner is announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 30 April 2020. We are the only independent manufacturer in the finals against some of the biggest multinational brands, but this just shows we’re still the best.
Our customers know how much care and passion we put into our boilers to make them the best in the market:
- quality components ensuring a ‘life-long’ service for the homeowner and low lifetime running costs.
- a five year ‘no quibble’ warranty which covers ALL components.
- all fittings are included in the box, even the drill bit.
- every boiler is test-fired in the factory and comes pre-bled with kerosene.
All of these features mean that the boiler does exactly what it has been designed for; to produce hot water efficiently and reliably for years. Our boilers also have a low carbon footprint as they’re built with high-quality parts ensuring they last longer than any other boiler on the market.
Our MD, Andrew Hounsfield, set up Hounsfield Boilers in 2008 with a desire to revolutionise the domestic boiler and make products far more sustainable. He’s over the moon that his industry-leading boilers have gained such high recognition. He says: “I had worked for some of the biggest UK boiler companies, but I had become frustrated – manufacturers had become too price-focused, which had driven down the quality of the boilers on offer. I decided to invent a boiler that was easy to install, built to last, whilst also minimising the lifetime running costs for the homeowner”.
In 2019 we added the Tuscan wall-hung boiler to our collection which was quickly snapped up by heating engineers and homeowners. Production at our Suffolk-based factory is on the up, we’ve just taken on two new recruits and sales are expected to increase as awareness of the Tuscan boiler grows.
